Cheney declared that when he accepted the Republican nomination as vice president He was excited about working with a president who would work across the political aisle to achieve goals and will cooperate with opposition members in confidence. Richard Bruce Cheney is the son of Richard Herbert Cheney of the late Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. He was born on the 30th of January 1941, in Lincoln Nebraska. When he was 13 years old, he relocated along with his parents into Casper in the western part of Wyoming, where his father ran the local district of soil conservation for the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
