Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci was born on December 12, 1961 in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti), Romania. Nadia is the Romanian Olympic gymnast. She holds the record for being given 10/10 points in an Olympic event. Bela Karrolyi, the Romanian gymnastics teacher who later became the coach for Comaneci who first came across Comaneci when she was just six years old. Comaneci participated for the first time at the national junior championships and finished 13th. The following year she won the title of champion. She took home three golds at her debut competition in a junior pre-Olympic meeting in 1972, which was a the communist bloc nations. The following year, 1973 as well as 1974, she became the junior all-round champion. In her first international competition as a senior athlete in the year 1975, she beat out Russian Lyudmila Turishcheva who was a five-time European champion, winning 4 gold medals and one silver. She was the first woman to complete a reverse double salo with the bar with a parallel surface when she won the American Cup, New York City 1976. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. She began her career as an entertainment professional as a teenager, when she performed as a figure skating duo with her sibling Nina Wayne for the travelling entertainment show Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne is a United States citizen, born on the 6th of September, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois. Carol began her career in the entertainment business in her teens. As a young girl she was a figure skating performer with Nina Wayne in the travelling entertainment program Ice Capades. The show featured stage-moving ice-skating performance.
