Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou in Beaumont Puy De Domme, France, was born on the 9th August, 1976. Audrey was the oldest child in a family of four. The actress was inspired by her parents, a dentist, and a teacher and both of them were teachers. They encouraged her to follow her love of acting. This was in contrast to an earlier desire to be a primatologist due to the fact that she was a fan of monkeys. Early success and a rapid rise in fame was a sign of her development as an actor. In 1998 after her studies, she participated in the French television show that scouts talent Jeunes Premiers sponsored by Canal+ and won Best Young Actress at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors prior to launching her acting career in earnest. Tautou was raised in the context of a Catholic family and attended her church even though she went to school in school at the Institut Catholique de Paris. Her acting and modelling careers have been interspersed. She became the face for L'Oreal Mont Blanc Chanel, and is known as The Chanel Muse. Also, she has an intense passion for photography. She recently exhibited her work for the Arles Festival, titled Superficial. The work she produces is focused on fame and popularity. It also features portraits of herself and particular focus on the media that has scrutinised Tautou since her meteoric rise in stardom following Amelie. Audrey Tautou shot to stardom and international fame with her debut role as a lead character in The Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Pouulain. Amelie received international acclai box office success and was acclaimed at awards galas across the world. It's the most-grossing French film in America. Following this massive success, Tautou went on to star in many films including British dramas such as Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things and Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Un long dimanche de fiancailles. She also starred alongside Tom Hanks in Ron Howard's The Da Vinci Code directed by Dan Brown.
