Ree Drummond (born Ree Ann Duncan) is an American blogger, writer and TV personality, and blogger who blogs about food and photography. Most famous is the blog she runs called The Pioneer Woman. She is on a ranch in Oklahoma. Her blogs reflect her daily family life as a husband and a mother at the ranch. Between 2009 and 2010, and 2011 The Pioneer Woman was awarded the Weblog of the Year award at the Annual Weblog Awards. Her parents were from Bartlesville Oklahoma and she was raised there. In the college level, she was studying the field of journalism and gerontology. In 2006 she started her online blog pioneerwoman.typepad.com and later changed the name to Confessions of a Pioneer Woman and finally to The Pioneer Woman. Confessions of a Pioneer Woman is a section on her site that has had lots of success. The blog was recognized as a hit by a variety of publications for its writing, ideas, and high quality photos. It also contains visually impressive food recipes. The Pioneer Woman was her first television show, and is broadcast by The Food Network. She is also a writer and many of her books contain of cooking recipes. Columbia Pictures has announced the adapting her book "From Black Heels to tractor wheels" into a movie.
