Jenna Fischer was best known for portraying Pam Beesly (the character of The Office) on TV. Her role on The Office brought her an Emmy nod for the Most Outstanding Supporting Actress category and she also won two SAG Awards, both for exceptional performances in an ensemble cast in a comedy.
Anne, her mother, performed in church plays when she was young that instilled a love for theater and performances in Jenna. Jenna was a spectator as her mother Anne took part in plays at church. The passion for performing and theatre was cultivated as a little girl.
Fischer is an actor with theater training. She starred as Josh Hamilton in Neil LaBute's Off-Broadway play Reasons to Be Happy. Then, she starred in Steve Martin's new play Meteor Shower. It was an absurd comedy piece starring Greg Germann, Josh Stamberg and ran for record breaking time at Old Globe Theatre.
The Office star Angela Kinsey's best friend in real life and Fischer launched her own podcast, the Office Ladies podcast, on Earwolf on October, 2019. The podcast soon became popular. Each week it ranked within the Top Ten in global downloads and had more than 200 million downloads in its first couple years. Office Ladies was awarded the iHeart Radio Podcast of the year in January 2021.
She has written two books, The Actor's Life A Survival Guide in which she describes her path to Hollywood as an actor in the field and Office BFF's, Tales of The Office From Two Best Friends who Were There, a memoir of the best friendships they enjoyed as well as their experience watching The Office.
